What software do you use?
AutoCAD 2D. You get a layered DWG, saved down to your version, plus a PDF plot. We do not offer Revit or BIM modelling yet.
Do you provide stamped permit sets?
No. We produce the drawings; the architect or engineer of record reviews and stamps them.
How does overnight turnaround work?
Our studio is in India. Work you send at the end of your day is drafted during your night and is in your inbox in the morning, US time.
How many revisions are included?
Two markup rounds per sheet. Revisions come back the next working day.
What if a source is unclear?
We ask before we draw. You get a short question list within a working day, and anything still unconfirmed is clouded on the sheet.
Will you work to our standards?
Yes. Send your template, title block or any past DWG and we match its layers, text styles and plot style.
Is our project confidential?
Yes. Your drawings are used only for your job. We sign your NDA on request, and nothing appears in our portfolio without names, addresses and logos removed.
How does the monthly block work?
You book hours each month and send work whenever it comes up, with no quote for every sheet. On the Studio plan, unused hours roll over one month.
Can we try you first?
Yes. Send one real sheet for $49. If it is not right, you do not pay.
How do we pay?
We quote and invoice in US dollars (USD) only, by email: per job for one-off work, monthly in advance for blocks.
Are you the same company as 3D Praxis Studio?
Yes. Praxis Studio has produced architectural renders and animation since 2012. Drawings is our drafting studio.
PDF, scan and sketch to CAD
What if the scan has no dimensions?
We scale from something with a known size, usually a door, a stair or a parking bay, and tell you which one. Assumed sizes are clouded.
Can you convert a whole set?
Yes. Larger sets usually fit a monthly block better than per-sheet pricing.
Will it match our layers?
Send any DWG of yours and we copy its layers, text styles and plot style.
As-built floor plans
Do you measure on site?
No. We draw from your sources and field notes. When something is unconfirmed, it is clouded for your site check.
Can you show demolition?
Yes: dashed on the same plan, or a separate demo plan. We ask which you want before drawing.
Large buildings?
Schools and multi-level offices are routine. We split them into levels and agree the order with you.
Site plans and survey drafting
Is this a stamped survey?
No. We draft from an existing survey. We are not surveyors and we do not stamp drawings.
Can you trace contours?
Yes, from a PDF survey background, with the contour interval labelled.
Metric or imperial?
Either. We draw in the units of your survey.
Power, ceiling and furniture plans
Will you use our symbols?
Yes. Send your legend or a past drawing and we match it.
Can we see progress?
On jobs longer than a day we send a work-in-progress PDF each morning.
Do you do lighting calculations?
No. We draft the layout you design; engineering stays with you.
Tenant-improvement test fits
Do you check code?
We follow the minimums you give us, such as room widths and egress. Code review stays with the architect.
Can you work from a hand sketch?
Yes. Most second rounds come to us as a red-line.
Retail, office, medical?
All of them. Salon suites and medical offices are the ones we have drawn most.
Elevations, sections and CD sheets
Will you stamp the set?
No. We produce the drawings; the architect or engineer of record reviews and stamps them.
Why do you need a reference set?
Every office draws CDs differently. A past set lets us match yours instead of inventing a style.
Revit?
Not yet. We work in AutoCAD and deliver DWG and PDF.
CAD template and title-block setup
Can you clean up our existing template?
Yes. We review what you have and tell you what we would keep.
Do monthly-block clients need this?
On the Studio plan we set your title block and layers up once, included.
What AutoCAD version?
We save down to the version you work in.
